We are looking for a skilled Group Accountant to join us in the heart of Sydney's World Square .
In this crucial role, you will oversee group accounting functions, ensuring the highest standards of financial reporting and compliance with IFRS while driving innovation and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
What You'll Do: As our Group Accountant, you will: Lead the month-end processes with expertise in IFRS16 and Capex, support SOX testing, and introduce cutting-edge solutions to streamline procedures and automation.Provide expert guidance to the finance team and wider business on corporate accounting matters, conducting in-depth research on accounting standards and legal compliance to ensure best practices are upheld.Take charge of month-end closing procedures, offering technical advice on accounting inquiries, and collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets and forecasts accurately.Ensure consistency in accounting practices across the organization, supervise internal financial controls, and assist with external audits.Identify and implement process optimizations, using your deep understanding of accounting systems and procedures to drive continuous improvement.What We're Looking For: A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance; CPA or CA certification preferred.At least 4 years of experience in a similar role with extensive knowledge of financial reporting, IFRS standards, and driving process improvements.
