The Team:
The Children and Young Persons' Program (CHYPP) was established as part of the Safe at Home whole of government integrated response to family violence within Tasmania.
CHYPP is located within the Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS) and works in close collaboration with other key Safe at Home agencies.
The Role:
Provide specialist psychological services to children, young people and families affected by family violence, in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework while maintaining contemporary professional knowledge through appropriate continuing professional development activities.
Assist children and young people to recover from the effect of family violence trauma through the delivery of developmentally appropriate specialist psychological services and therapeutic support and undertake appropriate forms of interventions within family violence, trauma and attachment frameworks in line with evidence-based practice and contemporary therapeutic models.
Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, including group programs and sessions for clients of CHYPP and FVCSS, provide information, consultation, support and feedback to colleagues within the CHYPP team in the administration of assessment tools and in clinical practice and liaise with other relevant program areas to ensure coordination of services.

Details of appointment: Allied Health Professional, Level 3
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$110,425 to $126,703 per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022

Salary Packaging:
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Allowances:

Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia

Where required for a particular role: Area of Practice Endorsement i.e., Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, Counselling Psychology, Community Psychology, Educational and Developmental Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Health Psychology, Organisational Psychology, or Sport and Exercise Psychology

Current Working with Children Registration
Current Driver's Licence
