The position is open to residents living in the North Sydney Local Government Area.
North Sydney, New South Wales Description North Sydney Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified, skilled, and experienced professionals to serve as Council representatives on the Sydney North Planning Panel (SNPP).
The position is open to residents living in the North Sydney Local Government Area.
The SNPP is responsible for determining regionally significant development applications, certain other DAs, and modification applications under Sections 4.55(2) and 4.56.
The Panel may also act as the Planning Proposal Authority (PPA) when directed, undertake rezoning reviews, provide advice on planning and development matters, and determine site compatibility certificates under the State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP).
Council Representatives Must Have Sound Knowledge Of The North Sydney Area And Relevant Planning Issues.
Candidates Must Also Be Able To Act Independently And Possess Demonstrated Expertise In One Or More Of The Following Fields Planning Architecture Heritage Environment Urban design Land economics Traffic and transport Law Engineering The Panel comprises individuals who are highly regarded in their fields and who have demonstrated experience in areas such as architecture, urban design, sustainability, and planning.
Council is seeking representatives with comparable expertise and insight to join the Panel.
Appointments are for a term of up to three years.
Panel members will be remunerated at $750 per meeting (inclusive of GST).
