Myoora Homestead located at Henty is inviting expressions of interest from Care Service Employees with a passion for person-centred care to bring their skills to possible permanent part-time and/or casual opportunities.
We are seeking somebody who will thrive on making a difference to our consumers by facilitating positive health and well-being options for individuals, their families, and carers.
You must be someone that can provide holistic care to our consumers, including caring for their physical and mental well-being as well as their safety.
You will liaise with facility team members to deliver a consumer-focused service that effectively meets individual residents' needs while promoting functional independence, wellness and lifestyle choices within a Consumer Directed Care (CDC) environment.
What you will bring to the role
Required:
A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (working towards this is acceptable)
Care skills that are driven by compassion
A contagious positive attitude
Excellent communication skills
Excellent Team player who is highly motivated
The ability to provide a wide range of person-centred care duties
The ability to assist with medication administration (if assessed as medication competent) and wound care
The ability to assist with daily living activities
A desire and willingness to work with each resident to empower them to continue to do the things that they love
Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, internet/intranet skills, email communication, and confidence with smartphones and digital devices
Desirable:
Experience in Aged Care
Knowledge and demonstrated commitment to Quality and Aged Care Standards
Current First Aid Certificate
