Join Our Team as Junior Design Engineer Are you ready to kickstart your engineering career in a dynamic and supportive environment? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Design Engineer.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to real-world engineering projects while developing your technical skills and gaining valuable industry experience.

You'll be working closely with experienced engineers in our Aftermarkets group, supporting design, manufacturing, and customer service functions.

Create and Maintain Engineering Drawings: Produce accurate technical drawings and Bills of Material from engineering requests, client specifications, and supplier data, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.

Support Manufacturing and R&D: Assist in design calculations, detailed drawings, and provide technical support to Sandvik's manufacturing processes and research projects.

Manage Engineering Data: Set up and maintain materials, assemblies, and manufacturing details in SAP, while ensuring drafting templates and registers are up to date.

Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with engineers, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical queries and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure Quality and Performance: Monitor and report on engineering performance metrics, support calibration of measuring tools, and help implement new engineering processes and tools.

What you'll bring: Education: Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 0–3 years of professional engineering experience; prior internship, cadetship, or vacation work highly desirable.

Technical Skills: Experience in a manufacturing environment (injection moulding experience is a plus).

Proficiency in Auto CAD 2 D and Inventor 3 D.

Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
