About The Role: A research team from the School of Management & Marketing in the Faculty of Business & Law at Curtin University aims to recruit a suitably qualified research assistant (RA) for their ARC Linkage Project, Optimising cost-effective services to the aged Ca LD community .The project comprises several studies, aimed at helping to identify, develop and offer cost-effective community-based services that can improve the lives and wellbeing of their culturally and linguistically diverse (Ca LD) clients.
The RA is expected to engage with the project team at all stages of the project, encompassing services marketing , so it is anticipated the RA will have qualifications in this area, or a cognate discipline.The RA will be employed on a 0.3 FTE basis (2 days per week on average) for a 2-year period starting from 24 March 2025 , at a rate commensurate with their academic qualifications and research experience.
This position would be based on the Bentley campus of Curtin University in Perth, Australia.
We anticipate that the RA will be a recent graduate with either a Ph D or professional doctorate in business (DBA), with a minimum of 5 years managerial experience in the industry, and willing to undertake a wide range of tasks to help further the aims and project outcomes.Typically, project tasks would include helping with literature reviews, research ethics applications, data collection, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, engaging with industry stakeholders, setting up a web-based portal, arranging symposiums and other on-campus events, as well as general project administration duties.Project Summary: This project aims to help non-government service providers in the growing aged care sector to identify, develop and offer cost-effective community-based services that can improve the lives and wellbeing of their culturally and linguistically diverse (Ca LD) clients.
Services in this sector will be mapped and costed.
An online tool will be developed to (1) 'identify and standardise' the potential range of services on offer, and (2) calculate the cost of offering each service.
