See yourself in our team Business Banking (BB) is a division of the Group, including Major Client Group (large corporates), Corporate Banking (metro located business customers), Regional and Agribusiness (rural/regional customers including agricultural-based businesses) and Small Business Banking (small businesses that operate primarily in local communities).
BB also includes Equities and Margin Lending (including Comm Sec).
Do work that matters This role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Business Banking distribution finance (SBB), Business Bank Finance.
You will play a pivotal role across BB finance in terms of Strong collaboration with colleagues to deliver outcomes for BB Finance Delivering monthly reporting requirements to multiple stakeholders Identifying performance optimisation and efficiency opportunities Participating in a proactive risk based culture Effectively leverage BI platforms focused on extracting commercial benefit Providing meaningful performance insights for the business whilst driving continuous process improvement, achieving an effective governance and control environment, and reporting function.
The activities of the role include, but are not limited to: Business Partnering Plan setting Monthly performance reporting Weekly sales and service reporting Deep dives and ad-hoc analytics and insights for the Business Financial and non-financial risk control oversight Capital analysis Using and building new reports in tableau We're interested in hearing from people who will aspire to contribute in Management of month end reporting cycle, half and full year end reporting Delivery of weekly sales and service reporting for the Business Bank Delivery of forecasting and budgeting analysis and reports Analysis of business drivers including revenue, costs, FTE's, asset and liability growth, ROTE and PACCLiaising directly with senior stakeholders and business bankers and presenting analytical performance to stakeholders Approaching requests with a business problem solving approach and delivering large scale projects Financial controls - financial and non-financial risk control oversight Engagement with BB Finance to ensure a proactive and transparent approach to risk Ensure integrity, timeliness of financial data and reconciliation to supporting systems Compliance with group wide policies and delivery protocols Focus on process excellence and continuous improvement through collaboration across business banking Assess business opportunities and providing commercial advice and input Supporting the business with ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support Facilitate process improvement initiatives to the reporting, planning and analysis Using and building reporting using BI tools and SQLOther qualities you may possess include Excellent commercial acumen Excellent stakeholder management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Financial Control experience High degree of problem solving and analytical ability with a close attention to detail Ability to collaborate & work as part of a team Sound investigative/probing skills Self-motivated with an ability to work to deadlines and without supervision SQL, Alteryx and Tableau (BI/MI tools) experience an advantage Experience in the Financial Services industry if preferrable Working with us means Whether you're passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career here is for you.
