We are now looking for a passionate and influential National HSE Manager.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be an integral member of the Operations team, responsible for leading GFA's safety and environment strategy, policies, standards, systems, and tools to meet GFA's goals.This leader plays an integral role in growing a culture that reflects our signature behavior - 'Never Walk By'.
With support from the Group HSE manager, this role provides coaching and supports the senior leadership team, site managers, logistics managers, and the entire GFA team to ensure that leaders at all levels are driving towards delivery of high performing HSE results.In addition, the role supports the site leadership and safety teams developing a robust program that ensures the gap between current status and required standard is transparent for each site, and the action plans to close the gap are clear and tracked to completion.You will be responsible for:Leading and developing the GFA HSE strategy for implementationProviding HSE functional expertise to the business across all Australia sitesLeading and coaching the HSE team to ensure they have the capability to implement HSE programs and coach line managersDriving a culture of risk-based decision making and instilling our signature behaviour - 'Never Walk By'Developing and implementing strategic HSE planning initiatives to improve HSE performanceDeveloping and executing environmental initiatives to achieve reductions in our environmental impact and improved energy efficiencyPartnering with the business to continuously improve our HSE performanceLeading change management efforts to embed new safety policies, systems, or ways of working across GFATo be successful in this role you will need:Degree qualified in HSE, Engineering or HREnvironmental Management Qualifications (desirable)5+ years' experience leading an HSE team or in a Senior HSE role in a high-risk or manufacturing environmentKnowledge and application of the ISO45001 and ISO14001 and AS4801 Safety StandardsExceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and lead effectivelyWhat can we offer you?With sites spanning across the Australasian region, working as part of a highly driven team at Goodman Fielder, you can expect the opportunity to build your own home-grown career across functions, locations, and brands.In return for your passion and success, we will reward you with a competitive remuneration package and help you to achieve personal and professional growth and development.
