We are seeking experienced and skilled medical professionals to fill multiple permanent positions as Senior Resident Medical Officers in the Emergency Department at Canberra Health Services.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, applying medical knowledge and experience in the diagnosis, investigation, and treatment of patients presenting to the emergency department. Responsibilities will include managing patient care in all areas of the ED, including Resuscitation Bays, Fast Track, Acute, Behavioural Assessment, Paediatrics, and the Emergency Medicine Unit.
We encourage participation in extra-curricular activities, such as completing the Emergency Medicine Diploma or conducting an audit, which will help develop valuable skills for further studies and careers in Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Rural Medicine, or other acute and critical care specialties.

Requirements- Be registered or eligible for General registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated clinical competence at postgraduate year 3 level
- Demonstrated ability to pursue both formal and self-directed learning in clinical practice and evidence of developing ability to teach more junior doctors and medical students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals
