Where you'll be working Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370.
Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units.
POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care.
We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.

Some Of The Key Functions Of The Registered Nurse Is To Practice In Accordance With The Australian Nursing And Midwifery Boards Standards Of Practice Think critically and analyse nursing practice Engage in therapeutic and professional relationships Maintain the capability for practice Comprehensively conduct nursing assessments Develop a plan for nursing practice Provide safe, appropriate and responsive quality nursing practice Evaluate outcomes to inform nursing practice Selection Criteria Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse / Midwife.
Demonstrated recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse that applies to a acute care clinical setting Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and be able to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
Current computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement person-centred practice.
Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care.
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload.
