General Manager- Clinical Capability

As our General Manager of Clinical Capability, you'll lead transformative initiatives to elevate clinical standards, empower our teams, and establish Vet Partners as an industry leader in veterinary training and development.
In this high-impact role, you'll design a comprehensive competency framework, develop career pathways, oversee training and mentorship programs, and support the recruitment and retention of top talent across our network.

Key Responsibilities As the General Manager of Clinical Capability, you will drive our commitment to clinical excellence by: Create a Leading Clinical Competency Framework – Design a framework that defines and elevates clinical standards across our network.
Map Talent Profiles to Unlock Potential – Align each team member's strengths and career goals with our competency matrix, helping them grow in the right direction.
Design Structured Learning Pathways – Build clear, progressive learning paths that support core and advanced clinical skills at every career stage.
Shape Recruitment Strategy – Work closely with recruitment to identify top talent by region and skill, strategically filling gaps and reducing skill shortages.
Oversee a Best-in-Class Learning Strategy – Lead the creation of an internal clinical learning and development strategy, making our programs a valuable asset for our teams.
Develop Transformative Clinical Leaders – Cultivate leadership skills that empower teams and drive clinical excellence, improving patient outcomes at every level.
Align Competency with Rewards – Support operations in matching clinical expertise with competitive pay and benefits that recognize skill and impact.
Empower Nursing Excellence – Enhance and expand nursing roles, ensuring nurses are trusted and fully engaged in patient care at all levels.
Partner with Leading Education Providers – Source and partner with top educational providers to offer priority access and top-tier learning for our teams.
Establish a World-Class Mentorship Program – Create robust mentorship initiatives that foster community, value mentors, and build trust for internal growth and referrals.
Maximize Training Centre Impact – Coordinate training centers to ensure we're achieving maximum value and return on investment.
Drive Commercial Growth through Learning – Ensure that our investment in learning and development is aligned with and supports our clinical and business growth.
Align with Industry Partners for Success – Work with key industry partners to ensure our learning objectives are in sync with shared goals.
Develop Programs to Strengthen Clinical Governance – Build competency programs that actively reduce clinical governance risks and elevate care standards.
Skills, Attributes, and Experience: Veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) with extensive clinical experience.
Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the veterinary industry.
Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs.
Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Strategic thinking and effective change management skills.
Experience in veterinary economics and managing multiple key stakeholders.
Experience in developing solutions at scale.
