So, what's the role?We're looking for a strategic and analytically driven Senior Manager Treasury Risk to oversee all non-credit financial risks arising from the bank's Treasury operations.
This high impact role ensures that our liquidity, interest rate, and balance sheet risks are actively managed in alignment with regulatory requirements, while supporting profitability and sustainable balance sheet growth.
In this pivotal role, you will provide leadership across cash flow, liquidity, interest rate risk, capital adequacy, and regulatory compliance, ensuring our treasury risk framework is robust, forward looking, and fit for purpose.
In a typical day, you'll get to: Provide oversight of liquidity and funding processes, including cashflow forecasting, liquidity risk management, and key metrics such as cumulative gap, ITOC, Ea R, Va R,and RWA.
Oversee treasury risk related to interest rate changes, market fluctuations and hedging strategies.
Monitor and review Treasury-related Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) metrics and ensure exposures stay within approved parameters.
Lead and enhance the ICAAP liquidity and funding stress testing process to meet evolving regulatory expectations.
Conduct deep dives into treasury processes to ensure compliance with APRA reporting standards.
Undertake control testing aligned with internal procedures.
Provide subject matter expertise on treasury-related prudential standards and regulatory changes.
About you Previous experience in Treasury Risk, Treasury Finance, or Market Risk within a banking environment with a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of regulatory obligations within retail banking, particularly APRA standards for liquidity and interest rate risk.
Experience with ICAAP, interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB), and capital adequacy frameworks.
A track record of uplifting risk frameworks, policies, and processes, and embedding them into daily operations.
Well developed skills in control testing and stakeholder engagement.
A commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk with business strategy.
