Our client is a global, reputable infrastructure contractor in the mining and minerals processing sector, known for delivering innovative solutions across large, impactful projects.

Global industry leader within mining and minerals sector Positive, supportive team + inspiring mentorship On the job training and continued learning opportunities 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday Southbank location - Easily accessible via public transport Immediate start available - 6 month Temp role with possibility to extend for the right person The Appointment Working within the finance team, working across multiple entities where you will play a key role in the implementation and analysis of all reporting activities all whilst bringing a consultative mindset to look at areas for improvement and collaboration.
This role reports directly to CFO.
Your Day: Identify and assist in the streamlining processes.
eg month end accruals, budgeting and forecasting process, billings and cash collections etc.
Provide assessments on key financial project risks and opportunities.
Preparation and review of allocated business unit financial performance.
Provide required training to the business unit understanding relevant financial matters.
Active involvement in the cash flow forecast processes for the Group.
In-depth understanding and analysis of overheads, highlighting valuable insights.
Must Haves: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance and /or Commerce.
CA/CPA qualified or studying towards a qualification.
5+ years post graduate experience in financial/management accounting roles within a medium/large corporate environment.
Ideal Candidate: Heavy industry experience, ideally not corporate only Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced excel modelling skills.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to prioritise and control workload arising from a broad user base.
Experience in working with large ERPs.
