Clinical Advisor, Medicines And Pharmacy Improvement Program

This role may be shared to ensure diversified clinical leadership.
The initiative aims to: Design and transition the Victorian public health sector to a standardized, evidence-based medicines list.
Reduce variation in medicines use while maintaining appropriate clinical choices.
Minimize duplication of procurement efforts across health services.
Enhance patient care and access to medicines.
Optimize medication safety through consistent medicine use.
Align procurement strategies and policies with formulary decisions.

About you : Lead clinical development and implementation of the Victorian Medicines Formulary, including evaluation.
Chair and participate in governance, advisory, and clinical committees involving diverse stakeholders.
Offer expert advice on medication safety, clinical pharmacology, formulary recommendations, therapeutic agents, restrictions, and decision-making, grounded in evidence-based practices, cost-effectiveness, and horizon scanning.
Engage with senior sector stakeholders.
Build and maintain relationships with clinicians, professional bodies, industry, government, consumers, and academics to support medication safety and clinical quality.
Contribute to projects related to medicines and therapeutics.
