Base pay range A$90,000.00/yr - A$110,000.00/yr New Dev Ops Engineer position within a high-profile e Commerce specialist company in Australia.

The Role: The Dev Ops Engineer will join an award-winning team and oversee a group of half-a-dozen Dev Ops engineers.
This role involves working hands-on with a selection of ecommerce projects for the company's clients.
Work in the office during the first 6 months - Then hybrid role with 3 days in the office.
Primary Responsibilities: Support the design and implementation of cloud architectures for scalable and performant web applications.
Contribute to the maintenance and optimisation of cloud infrastructure using AWS and other platforms.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline code integration and deployment.
Collaborate with senior Dev Ops and development teams to deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) using tools such as Terraform and Cloud Formation.
Assist in the development and upkeep of build automation scripts and deployment tools.
Work with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and the Serverless Framework under guidance from senior engineers.
Maintain and troubleshoot developer environments and provide general system administration support to internal teams.
Monitor and improve system reliability, performance, and security in collaboration with senior engineers.
Participate in diagnosing and resolving issues at the system and network level, including customer-facing challenges.
Work closely with developers, QA, and project managers within an Agile SCRUM environment to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Experience and Qualifications: Advanced competency in Linux operating systems, especially Centos 7.
Advanced competency in Linux virtualisation, KVM/QEMU, Docker, and Virtual Box.
Advanced competency in AWS, Varnish, Nginx, Apache, Redis, and My SQL.
Advanced competency with cloud computing concepts, especially AWS.
Advanced competency in developing for and deploying to public clouds.
Advanced competency with Git, Linux CLI, and IDEs.
Intermediate competency in understanding CI/CD concepts.
Intermediate competency in estimation and requirements gathering.
Intermediate competency in technical risk assessment and management.
Intermediate competency in PCI DSS and developing secure software.
Basic competency in Agile software development, especially familiarity with SCRUM.
Requirements: Proven experience as Dev Ops Engineer, preferably in a tech environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
