With over 1,200 employees, SCCTAS offers a comprehensive range of services, including residential care, home and community services, and lifestyle villages.
The organisation is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care that supports the independence and well-being of its residents and clients.
Position Summary : Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Information Officer role is a newly created role is pivotal in developing and implementing the technology vision for the company, ensuring IT capabilities drive operational excellence, enhance resident and client care, and future-proof the organization against emerging challenges and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement the company's IT and digital transformation strategy in alignment with the organization's strategic plan.
Provide expert advice to the Board, CEO, and Executive Team on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
Establish IT governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Oversee IT budgeting, ensuring cost-effective management of resources.
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the company's IT infrastructure.
Lead the development and implementation of cybersecurity strategies to protect sensitive data.
Champion the adoption of digital health solutions, electronic health records (EHR), and assistive technologies.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand business needs and ensure IT solutions support organizational goals.
Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team, fostering a high-performance culture.
Key Performance Indicators : Alignment of IT strategy with the company's strategic objectives.
Compliance with IT governance frameworks and industry regulations.
Increase in operational efficiency through automation.
Adoption of new digital solutions leading to measurable enhancements in resident care and satisfaction.
Systems uptime and availability 90%.
Incident response time 1 hour for high priority issues.
IT helpdesk satisfaction 90%.
Number of security incidents showing a nil or decreasing trend.
Project delivery on time and within budget.
The Ideal Candidate : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally within the aged care, healthcare, or not-for-profit sector.
Strong knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, data management, and digital transformation.
Experience managing enterprise IT systems, cloud solutions, and software applications.
Demonstrated ability to align IT strategies with business objectives and drive innovation.
Experience managing IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, including the Aged Care Quality Standards and data privacy laws.
