The Opportunity We have established a dynamic team to meet the challenges to Beca's traditional engineering services and to support clients with their digital transformation journey.
This role, reporting to the General Manager for Defence, Infrastructure Advisory (DIA), has been created to develop a client-facing team within the business, responsible for providing specialist subject matter advice to key growth markets for Beca.
The Digital Engineering Business Director drives the client-facing roadmap and market penetration strategies across the Australian Business.
This is an impactful role requiring a leader who can communicate clearly, lead and inspire others, and translate technical client pain points into actionable service offerings.
You will also: Grow demand for Digital Engineering services with both established and new clients Help implement digitally-enabled ways of delivering engineering, construction, and maintenance activities Develop BIM and digital engineering practices, identifying new skill requirements and sharing these practices within Beca and with clients Communicate the value proposition across the organization and embed changes in BIM and collaborative information management practices (per ISO 19650) across the project lifecycle Monitor technological innovations in industry to ensure Beca remains contemporary in its delivery practices (e.g., adopting new technologies for health and safety or site optimization) Working with the team, you will motivate innovative thinking, develop new ideas, and promote Beca's values.About You You'll have a relevant tertiary qualification and accreditation or similar proof of training with ISO 19650.
You will have a proven track record of leading technically capable, diverse, and high-performing teams, fostering a culture of problem-solving, collaboration, and excellence, with strong communication skills.
This experience is preferably in the engineering sector, in areas such as Project Management, Design Management, Asset Management, Digital Design Processes, Geospatial, or Surveying, with a strong understanding of drivers for change in construction and asset management sectors.
