About the
Role
This
position plays a key role in the Communications and Engagement
section working collaboratively across Council to champion our
purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in
consultation with the Townsville Community.
Working in
partnership with all relevant internal stakeholders to formulate
innovative and creative strategies to engage and involve members of
the community ensuring a consistent and recognisable brand and
messaging for Townsville City Council.
About
You
The
ideal applicant will have the ability to provide tactical advice in
relation to communication outcomes for organisational initiatives
and will be able to develop and implement effective communication
and engagement plans for a range of Council campaigns, events,
projects and initiatives, in consultation with the Team Manager
Communications.
You
will have superior writing skills, particularly in the production
of communication plans and materials, and the ability to translate
complex information for a variety of audiences using a range of
communication tools and channels.
