This role is a critical support for our teams to connect and deliver better health access and outcomes for regional, rural, and remote communities.
The Python Developer is responsible for continuously improving data integration between existing commercial systems and supporting the development of specialised end-user operations applications across all RFDS operational and support teams.
This is a full-time, maximum term (6 months) position based in Brisbane.
Key accountabilities include Collaborate with architects, technical leads, testers, product owners, and analysts in an Agile environment to contribute to solution development Develop real-time and polling interfaces between systems and the RFDS Data Lake using various integration techniques Support Dev Ops practices, including CI / CD processes and tools Assess, diagnose, and resolve incidents according to procedures Investigate causes of incidents and seek resolutions Escalate unresolved incidents Facilitate recovery following incident resolution Document and close resolved incidents Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve system, process, and service problems, and assist with implementing remedies and preventative measures Who are we looking for?We seek a Data & Systems Developer (Python) who is a team player, communicates confidently with stakeholders, and collaborates effectively with the RFDS team.
An open-minded problem solver excited to contribute daily and willing to pitch in to help save lives.
You will demonstrate : Formal qualification in Information Technology or a similar field, or equivalent experience High-level communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with leaders and stakeholders Experience developing data manipulation solutions in Python, with libraries such as Pandas and Geo Pandas Familiarity with RESTful APIs, integration, and mocking Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and skills Experience in Health or Aviation industries is advantageous but not essential Why Join the RFDS (Queensland Section)At RFDS (Queensland Section), we are committed to positively impacting remote, rural, and regional Queensland communities.
