About the Role

As a key member of the Leadership Team, reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, this role provides strategic leadership for the Information Management and Technology function. It oversees the development and management of plans, budgets, operations, and systems to support Randwick City Council's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to planning and setting corporate direction including vision, values and goals.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Council's Digital Strategy, ensuring divisional directions are clearly communicated, implemented, monitored and evaluated.
  • Mentor and lead a team of IT professionals to support Council's technology needs and objectives.
  • High-level experience in strategic business planning and resource management, including demonstrated ability to understand and monitor the true cost of services.
  • Ensure IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks are in place as well as managing Council's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity and data management.
  • Oversee digital transformation projects to improve service delivery and efficiency.

  • Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally within local government.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
  • Expertise in IT governance, cybersecurity, and enterprise system management.
  • Excellent mentoring, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in delivering digital transformation and improving IT service delivery.
