Senior Business Analyst About the company Our client is a leading technology firm based in Brisbane, dedicated to developing and operating innovative digital platforms.
They specialise in creating bespoke software solutions that enhance business operations and customer experiences.
The company is currently embarking on an exciting project to upgrade their customer portal, aiming to deliver new functionality and a more user-friendly interface.
What you will be doing As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions.
Your primary responsibility will be to gather, document, and refine business requirements, translating them into clear user stories for the development team.
You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and facilitate workshops and agile ceremonies.
Additionally, you will drive continuous improvements in business analysis processes and support the engineering team during the delivery phases.
Key responsibilities include: Eliciting, documenting, and refining business requirements.
Defining user stories and acceptance criteria.
Facilitating stakeholder workshops and agile ceremonies.
Supporting the engineering team with requirement clarifications.
Assisting in triaging defects and identifying root causes.
Driving process improvements and best practices within the business analysis function.
To be successful in this role, you will need: A bachelor's degree in information technology, Business, or a related field.
Relevant business analysis certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are highly desirable.
At least 5 years of experience in business analysis roles, particularly in Agile environments.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working with in-house development teams.
Proficiency with business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Miro.
Knowledge of SQL and database structures.
Ability to work in a fluid environment with changing priorities.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
