Job Summary RWS Global is seeking an Assistant General Counsel .
You will be an integral part of our legal team, supporting the business with high-quality legal advice in areas such as: Corporate and Commercial Procurement IT Employment Intellectual Property Key Tasks Role & Responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts Support the legal team with training and guidance on legal and compliance matters Provide legal advice and reporting to leadership and staff Guide the company's involvement in RFP and procurement processes Advise on regulatory compliance (Corporations Act, Fair Work Act, Privacy Act) Draft and amend internal policies for legal compliance Oversee domestic and international insurance, renewals, and claims Research foreign tax, visa, and international compliance issues Advise on Privacy/Data Protection (APP and GDPR) and IP matters Manage HR requirements in Australia Handle disputes and litigation, working with external counsel Supervise a junior in-house lawyer Support corporate secretarial work Maintain legal precedents and templates Please Note: This description is comprehensive but not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned.
Qualifications & Skills 4+ years of legal experience (in-house or private practice) Current unsupervised practicing certificate in Australia with authority to supervise Please Note: Responsibilities and duties are not exhaustive and may change as necessary.
