Base pay range A$170,000.00/yr - A$200,000.00/yr Our client is an established mining company with a strong operational presence in Australia and internationally.
We are currently hiring multiple roles across their finance department, including the position of General Manager - Finance and Financial Controller.
Role Description Job Title: General Manager - Finance Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Direct Reports: 5 Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 + Super + Up to 25% Annual Bonus The General Manager - Finance is a senior executive role accountable for shaping and executing the company's financial strategy.
This role requires exceptional leadership in complex, cross-jurisdictional environments and a deep command of Australian and international regulatory frameworks.
You will oversee financial reporting, tax, treasury, and cash flow management while driving strategic outcomes.
Role Description Reports to: General Manager of Finance Direct Reports: 2 Salary: $170,000 - $200,000 + Super + Up to 10% Annual Bonus Competitive salary and performance-based bonus Flexible working arrangements Relocation assistance for the right candidate Global exposure within a multinational mining group Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements Ensure compliance with AASB, IFRS, ASIC, and internal standards Manage eliminations, intercompany adjustments, and reconciliations Drive month-end and year-end close across business units Oversee statutory reporting for Australian and international operations, including the Dominican Republic Audit Management & Governance Coordinate external audits and act as the primary liaison Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with governance requirements ERP & Systems Oversight Ensure integrity of data across ERP and BI systems (e.g.
Pronto, Power BI) Support automation and financial systems enhancements Chinese Shareholder Reporting Prepare reports in accordance with Chinese Accounting Standards (CAS) Collaborate with CFO and Finance leadership to ensure accurate, timely reporting to the parent company Leadership & Team Development For the Financial Controller: Lead a team of 2 (Senior AP Officer & Assistant Accountant) For the GM Finance: Lead and mentor a team of 5, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture Key Requirements CPA or CA qualification (mandatory) Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce 7+ years' experience in financial accounting and consolidation (Controller) Strong technical knowledge of AASB, IFRS, ASIC, and CAS standards Prior experience with cross-border reporting, especially with Chinese shareholders or SOEs Advanced ERP/BI skills (Pronto & Power BI preferred) Fluency in Mandarin (spoken & written) highly desirable How to Apply If this sounds like the opportunity you've been looking for, we'd love to hear from you For a confidential discussion, contact Yajing Lin via email at or call 0412 698 432 , quoting this job ad.
