ABOUT THE ROLE

The Support Worker plays a vital role in fostering a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for individuals living with disabilities, children, and young people in the care of Allambi Care

Through tailored person-centred active support, this role empowers participants and young people, including those with complex needs, to develop daily living skills, engage in community activities, and build their capacity for greater independence and inclusivity, ultimately helping them achieve their goals.

Your daily tasks can include:

Building a relationship with the people you are caring for.
Providing around the clock care to participants, following a structured routine developed specifically for their needs, including personal care.
Administering medication.
Transporting the people in our care to and from school, day programs and appointments.
Assist in the implementation of programs designed for the development of the client.
Report writing.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in the role you will need to meet the following Essential Criteria:

Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment - can be obtained via https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check)
Current NDIS Worker Check: (can be obtained via https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/ndiswc-apply)
Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID011)
National Police Check (this must be obtained via https://www.employmentscreeninggroup.com/au/allambi/)
A current driver's licence (minimum of a P2)
A vehicle that can transport upwards of 4 people
Comprehensive Car Insurance
Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module (can be accessed via: https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/)
Ability to work a 7-day shift work roster
Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks
Two professional references

Please note that all prospective staff will need to be willing to consent to their details being entered on to the Residential Care Worker Register before an offer of employment is made.
