What will you be doing? You will provide strategic legal advice across the university, supporting commercial transactions, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
You will work closely with a broad portfolio of teams, draft and negotiate agreements, and assist with the development of policies and legal processes.
Your role will also involve managing relationships with external legal advisors, delivering training programs, and maintaining key legal resources for internal use.
Who will succeed in this role? This role is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer with at least three years of post-qualification experience.
Experience in general commercial law, contracting, and regulatory matters is essential, while higher education experience is highly regarded.
Strong stakeholder management skills, a proactive and solutions-focused approach, and the ability to work autonomously will be key to success.
A current practising certificate as an Australian lawyer is required.
