You'll be responsible for leading internal audits, guiding investigations, and helping teams navigate regulations, all while keeping a sharp eye on the risks.
This role is not only about reviewing what happened, but also helping shape what happens next with informed, actionable advice and a strong safety-first mindset.This is a high-trust role, working closely with managers across NSW on sensitive issues, and balancing diverse priorities in a tightly regulated space.
Our business partners will lean on you to bring about cultural change, influence our decision-makers, and embed WHS into contracts and supply chains-making safety feel less like a compliance task and more like part of everyday business.For more information read the full Role Description: WHS Coordinator Risk and Audit What you will bring to the role Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Capable of driving outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process, fostering collaboration and buy-in.
Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate complex challenges and adapt to evolving situations-especially across regulatory frameworks and sensitive investigations.
In-depth experience conducting WHS audits and investigations, with the ability to distil complex findings into clear, actionable improvements.
Confident working with regulatory bodies and senior decision-makers, knowing how to balance accountability, confidentiality and diplomacy.
Ability to embed WHS principles into contracts and procurement, ensuring safety is woven into every stage of the supply chain.
Comfort operating across dispersed teams, using digital collaboration tools and a proactive mindset to build trust and drive change across locations.
Key Knowledge and Experience Experience in WHS risk management Experience with Microsoft 365 apps such as Share Point, Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate and Power Apps Essential requirements Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline and/or relevant experience Qualifications or experience in WHS Auditing including internal audit, investigations or risk management including working with external audit and third-party service providers and experience preparing audit reports, investigation reports, briefs and/or other related papers.
