The Royal North Sore Hospital (RNSH) Hepatology Service is seeking an appropriately experienced Registered Nurse to provide a comprehensive service to assess, manage, educate and monitor patients with Hepatitis infection, advanced liver disease and other hepatology disease processes and their complications in the role of Hepatology Clinical Nurse Consultant.Employment Type : Temporary Part Time until 16 January 2026 (with possibility of ongoing employment)Position Classification : Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2Remuneration : $66.51 - $67.83 per hourHours Per Week : 24Requisition ID : REQ597008Who we are : We are a health service that touches thousands of lives across the Northern Sydney Local Health District, together as a team of like-minded people.

The Hepatology service has developed an integrated framework with other NSLHD stakeholders including, primary health networks, population health and primary community health (Drug & Alcohol services, HARP, Sexual health, Harm immunisation/needle exchange) and NSLHD Indigenous health services.What You'll Be DoingThe Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) is an expert nursing who will provide leadership, advice and recommendations on all aspects of nursing and consults on matters relating to the safe and appropriate use of nursing practices.The CNC will formulate and implement policy, guide practice development, and engage in education and research activities.
The CNC is responsible for the provision of clinical supervision to nursing staff and acts as a role model, providing nursing care on a regular basis.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following CriteriaRegistered with Authority to Practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Minimum five years full time post graduate experience with 3 years full time equivalent in Hepatology.
In addition the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level) or evidence of working towards Masters level qualification.
Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework.
Demonstrated ability to undertake quality improvement and research activities that influence and enhance clinical practice and implement Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
