In this role, you will perform on-site delivery and implementation of Red Hat Infrastructure solutions and offerings.
You'll gain an understanding of our customers' infrastructure and business needs and make recommendations appropriate to their environment to create possibilities and resolve issues.
As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with customers on various initiatives, including architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance of Red Hat Infrastructure technologies.
You will also support other consultants, associates, and partners in developing best practices and methods, primarily focused on Red Hat Automation products such as Ansible & AAP, along with other Infrastructure products like RHEL, Satellite, Security, and authentication services.
Responsibilities Serve as a trusted adviser for Red Hat engineers and project and technical managers to deliver and implement the right solutions for our customers.
Serve as a subject matter expert on site, addressing customer technical, development, and IT issues and needs.
Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs.
Adapt to changing customer requirements.
Manage technical problem identification and resolution, support system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions.
Participate in internal initiatives, create consulting white papers, and update the knowledge base.
Keep stakeholders updated on issues that may affect project or company performance.
Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions, and handle sensitive conversations professionally.
Kick off new projects, guide the implementation team, and monitor project progress.
Requirements3+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on development and deployment projects.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Experience with Red Hat Automation products including Ansible & AAP.
Knowledge of other Infrastructure technologies such as: Red Hat Satellite Authentication services like Id M/IPAVirtualisation technologies Linux Security Practices and tools Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and planning skills.
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
AGSVA Security Clearance at NV1 or above is desirable.
Willingness to undertake appropriate clearance is a must.
