
Senior People Partner

In this strategic role, you'll work closely with APRA's leadership to guide, coach and support the strategic and operational delivery of people related initiatives.
This encompasses people programs that deliver against APRA's Corporate Plans and business priorities, including inclusion and diversity, talent management and workforce planning.
The role champions performance and capability coaching as well as supporting change and delivery of activities across the employee lifecycle for internal mobility, learning and development initiatives, employee engagement, and management of complex people matters.
The team The Chief of Staff and Enterprise Services ( Ch ES ) division of APRA is integral to the organisation, ensuring strategic alignment, effective communication, and robust governance.
The People Partner team is part of the broader People & Culture (P&C) team and focuses on developing strategies that enhance the employee experience, from compensation to leadership, engagement, inclusion, capability development and performance.
Key responsibilities Manage the development and implementation of organisational people & culture change programs that align with APRAs corporate objectives; Parter with the executive management and other key stakeholders to develop, embed and sustain people and culture initiatives and solutions for their teams; Act as a trusted adviser, business coach and influencer to the heads of the divisions on People & Culture; Provide consultancy, advice, support and guidance to managers and staff on a wide variety of People and Culture matters; Proactively identify opportunities to shape and drive APRA's strategic and operational change initiatives that impact APRA divisions and people; and Ensure compliance with and resolve issues related to HR and WHS regulations, legislation and organisation policy.
About you Extensive experience in senior HR business partnering roles, ideally in financial or professional services; A track record of delivering impactful people strategies and leading change; Strong capability in performance coaching, leadership development, and employee engagement; Deep knowledge of employment legislation and contemporary HR practices; Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills; A proactive mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery; and Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
