In 2025, there will be approximately 235 Secondary students enrolled in Years 7 – 12.

All teachers will need to accept the College's Code of Conduct (including Statement of Faith) and all compliance requirements.
All teachers will be expected to be able to teach from a Christian worldview.
POSITION DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Secondary School ATAR / General Outdoor Education Teacher FTE: 0.8 to 1.0 negotiable Fixed Term: Term 3, 2025 Purpose: Long Service Leave relief (Term 3 start date 21 July, end date 26 September)Secondary Teacher with capability to deliver Year 11 and Year 12 ATAR, General Outdoor Education.
Years 9-10 Outdoor Education and Year 11 Essential and Foundation Mathematics.
Camps/Expeditions: Two 3-day camps held during Term Two, including Year 11 Expedition which returns on a Saturday.
Regular use of time during lunch, recess, before and after school to run excursions.
The ideal candidate would have the skill set to run activities, including camping, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, abseiling, rock climbing and bushwalking.
However, some activities could be negotiable.
Ability to apply appropriate risk management and emergency response protocols.
Salary: Hill Side Teacher Pay Scale (negotiable on qualifications and experience)HOW TO APPLYApplicants should be able to demonstrate their personal faith in Jesus Christ as God and Saviour and be an active member of an evangelical Christian Church.
The applicant should be a teacher of quality with high-level skills, and the desire to work within a Christian team setting.
The application must include: Cover letter outlining suitability for a relief teaching role within the context of Hill Side Christian College (maximum two pages)The applicant's current CV outlining qualifications, church membership, professional referees, contact details, and career history A written reference from a Pastor/Elder or the contact details of a Pastor/Elder who may be contacted for a verbal reference in regard to the applicant's Christian faith, character and practice; The following will need to be provided when requested: Birth Certificate Working with Children Check (WWCC)TRBWA current Full Registration Photographic identification Copy of all qualifications Any other requested compliance requirements An email will be sent to you confirming the receipt of your application.
Interviews and referee checks will be integral to the selection of any candidate.
CLOSING DATE: 4:30pm, Monday 31st March 2025 Please note: The College reserves the right to fill the position at its discretion and timing, and to withdraw the position if required.
The position will only be filled by the College when a suitably qualified applicant, as ratified by the College Board, is secured.
