Role Description This is a full-time role for a Senior Consultant ideally located in Victoria, largely working from home, and with some travel.
It suits a dynamic individual who is passionate about improving healthcare and who can manage a diverse suite of projects, build and maintain impactful relationships, and lead a remote team with confidence.
With some of our present projects centered on improving mental health and aged care through codesign and program evaluation, this role may be a perfect fit for a leader whose passion aligns with one or more of these areas.
The Senior Consultant will be responsible for: providing high-quality project management and consulting services to health and community services organisations managing a small number of consulting staff (line management and project team management) attracting new projects through networking, online marketing, writing proposals and tender responses enhancing our organisation as a core member of a three-person Leadership Team.
Essential Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects, and to lead multiple, concurrent projects within schedule Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate field such as a health discipline, business administration, social sciences, evaluation, management or economics Demonstrable understanding of the federal or state health systems, and at least five years experience working within at least one of these health systems Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English, and listening and interpreting skills Excellent skills in consulting with a range of stakeholders including the ability to influence and negotiate positive outcomes while effectively managing complex, sensitive relationships and minimising conflict Ability to lead a team, and to manage and develop staff Effective time management skills including the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines Proficient in using technology to enhance communication and efficiency, including the Microsoft suite of products and mobile telephony Work rights in Australia, a home office setup that adheres to occupational health and safety standards, a registered vehicle and a current Australian driver's licence.
Highly Desirable Selection Criteria Proven knowledge of the state and federal mental health or aged care sectors, and at least 5 years' experience working in one of these sectors Proven knowledge of and experience using research and evaluation techniques.
