Our Mission to be Bold and Impactful - Work with cutting edge technology - See your work making an impact - Exciting role in a tight-knit team How you contributeThis role is a great opportunity for an experienced QA Engineer - Embedded Hardware and Software to work alongside our cross-functional engineering team to develop and execute end-to-end test plans throughout our software delivery life-cycle.
The successful candidate will be working on our advanced automation for i OS, Android, Web platforms and associated systems including the Hovermap mapping and autonomy payload, accessories for this payload, and the drones on which we deploy our system.Here's what we needField test the data capture functionality of Emesent's product suite.
This will include operation of GPS and Terrestrial survey equipment, operation of unmanned aerial and ground vehicles, and use of several software packages to process and evaluate the accuracy and correctness of the captured data.Ensure QA systems, processes and practices are followed.Conduct manual and exploratory testing for new hardware and software features.Create and execute automation scripts utilizing Javascript / Robot Framework, or Python.Work closely with developers to define test cases and ensure acceptance criteria are met.Perform regression testing as part of our software and firmware release cycles.Develop detailed test plans, design test cases, and gather required test data.Review requirements, specifications, and user documentation to ensure thorough test coverage.Coordinate with product management, development and QA teams to deliver stable products.Ensure defects and bugs are raised, triaged, fixed and retested adequately.Perform other testing-related duties as required.Provide continuous feedback on QA processes to increase effectiveness.How you'll succeedStrong experience in software QA with both manual and automation testing.Strong experience in the SDLC / STLC, defect management and test case design.Hands-on experience with embedded systems testing (hardware-software integration).Experience with automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, Python, or similar tools.Experience with Jira or similar issue-tracking software.Hands-on experience writing automated test scripts for embedded systems, robotics, or Io T is a major plus.Qualifications or experience in Surveying, Li DAR, or robotics is desirable.Experience piloting a drone or holding a Remote Pilot License (Re PL) is a plus but not required.Must hold a driver's License.Good communication skills and ability to document test results accurately.Must have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.Ability to operate collaboratively in a team environment.Process driven with high attention to detail.The added perksWork alongside a friendly and passionate team on cutting edge technology - We know that our success and growth is a result of our motivated and inspiring teams.Take up our genuine learning and development opportunities.Access to Linked In Learning platform.Employee Assistance Program.Qoctor, online telehealth.Settle into our great work environment and facilities.Work in comfort with a casual dress code.Flexible working.1 full day of leave, each year for work anniversariesWho are we?Emesent is a world-leader in drone autonomy, Li DAR mapping, and data analytics.
