Our Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute swimming lessons based on the Swim Program Curriculum to achieve both short-term and long-term goals
  • Organize and conduct lessons effectively
  • Enhance the skill development of swimmers with diverse levels of proficiency to meet performance targets
  • Stay updated on evolving rules, techniques, technologies, and swimming philosophies
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with swimmers and parents in the program
  • Explain and enforce safety regulations and rules
  • Supervise swimmers' equipment usage to ensure safety standards are met
  • Ensure prompt and courteous assistance and information provision to all customers
  • Accountable for offering accurate information on facility usage and available programs

About you:

We are looking for enthusiastic Swim Teachers, whether new or experienced, to join our Learn to Swim Team at the Warringah Aquatic Centre. Your role will involve instructing swimming lessons across various skill levels in our Learn to Swim program. Multiple shift options are available during weekday mornings, afternoons, and weekends. Reporting to the Programs Manager of Aquatic Programs, the Swim Teacher's responsibility is to deliver professional swimming lessons and water safety education programs at the Warringah Aquatic Centre, ensuring exceptionally high standards of aquatic programs for all Center users.
