Job Title: Accounting Administrator (Accounts Receivable)
Length of contract: Initial 3 month contract
Location: Wangara
Hours: 8 hour days
Roster: Mon – Fri
Start Date: ASAP
Pay rate: In line with current market pay rates
Experience: Must be advanced in Excel reporting (including the use of Pivots etc.)
Position Description:
The Accounts Administrator (Accounts Receivables) will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the accounts receivable system, timely review and posting of customer invoices in system and timely collection of debtor receipts.
The role will also provide the opportunity to perform some journal / general accounting tasks and therefore opportunity for growth.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructionsLiaising with customers to collect debts and dealing with any queries on a timely basisIssue debtors summary sheet to Directors on a weekly basis in accordance with company policyRun weekly sales reports / figure, and issue cash sheet summary to directors on a weekly basis in accordance with company policyChecking accounts receivable invoices are raised correctly against customer purchase orders and posting sale through system, including where relevant – matching to customer portals such as Ariba.Review and update credit limits for debtorsLiaising internally with other Departments regarding timely invoice submission, resolving unpaid debts and dealing with any queriesMaintain sales receipt register and post payment receipts received from customers in systemRaise and post approved credit notesApplying customer receipts in system and clearing Invoices when paidPerforming other ad hoc duties as directed to support AccountantsAny other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications & Training:
Relevant experience in Accounts Receivable and Assistant AccountingCompetent in the use of MS Office package – Word, ExcelCompetent in the use of ERP systems (training in 20:20 will be provided once in role)Ability to prepare and format Excel reports, use Pivots etc.
