Y Whittlesea is on the lookout for enthusiastic Badminton Coaches to join our team at the Y Leisure City in Epping. This is an opportunity to play an exciting role in founding our new Badminton program and to provide an amazing badminton experience for children aged years. Enjoy a fun, dynamic and supportive team environment with opportunities to explore other areas like customer service, sports, gymnastics, party hosting or working in our café. This is a casual position that will require availability to work 2-3 hours of a Sunday morning.

Have experience competing in badminton and love the sport but haven't coached before? No problem We are looking for coaches of all levels (Junior through to Senior) and encourage you to apply.

Some of the key duties of this role will include:

  • Providing on court coaching according to the programs.
  • Assist in delivering quality programs and a fun and supportive experience for participants.
  • Assisting with set up/pack up of the badminton courts.
  • Being friendly, approachable, and helpful to all students and their parents/guardians where applicable.

What do we hope you'll bring?

  • Legal right to live and work in Australia.
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check (or willing to obtain).
  • International Police check if you have lived outside Australia in the last 5 years.
  • A passion for badminton and experience playing/competing.
  • A fun, positive and supportive demeanour that resonates with children.
  • Availability to work on Sundays.
  • The ability to deal with patrons of all ages, cultures and abilities.
  • A sports related qualification and related sports experience is not necessary but would be highly regarded.
