Senior Accountant

Role: Senior Financial Systems Accountant

Rate: $69.70 per hour + Super
Duration: 2 months
Location: Colac/Flexible Working (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

Responsibilities:
Maintain and enhance the organisation's accounting systems.Oversee asset register integration and management.Support budget development and long-term financial planning.Prepare data and audit files for external audits.Conduct financial reporting and budget reviews.Manage year-end financial processing and related activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to provide and analyse financial information for business decision-making.Advanced understanding of accounting standards, techniques, concepts, and practices, particularly financial statements.Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop complex written reports (financial and non-financial).Excellent time management skills, including the ability to use initiative and judgement to achieve outcomes and work unsupervised to meet departmental/Council objectives.Experience in year-end processing.Qualification in accounting or a similar field.
