The Sales Administration Officer will provide administration support to the sales staff by providing quotes to customers, collating all orders and inputting into system, ordering distributed product and managing a territory of customers via phone contact to provide sales support to these customers

Key responsibilities

Administration:

  • Input all orders into the M1 system
  • Collect sales enquiries by phone or email where appropriate and distribute to relevant person
  • Filing of relevant documents when required
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to maintain levels of distributed product within acceptable limits to ensure no supply problems for customers

Sales:

  • Handle enquiries from customers where possible
  • Make sales to these customers where appropriate
  • Contact customers in your territory when possible
  • If enquiry too technical then hand off to appropriate person to handle

Other:

  • Participate and contribute to sales team and meetings
  • Other duties as directed
  • Performance Criteria
  • Timely and correct inputting of orders
  • Customer enquiries handled efficiently and courteously
  • Low backlog of unprocessed orders
  • Contribution to sales team

Skills Required

  • Certificate IV or higher in business, sales or related areas
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Computer literacy / MS Office 365
  • Good phone and communication skills
  • Previous sales experience
  • Good communication to supervisors, fellow staff and customers
