Position: Acquisition Manager – Based in Sydney

Acquisition Team:

The acquisition team is a group of creative entrepreneurs dedicated to acquiring partners within Agoda's growing accommodation portfolio. Team members are empowered to expand their markets or accounts autonomously. We establish mutually beneficial relationships and utilize Agoda's unique accommodations portfolio and tech solutions to provide partners with sought-after advantages. Leveraging our brand and resources, we introduce new products to increase Agoda's visibility, attract more travelers, offer excellent products and services, and generate substantial revenues.

The Opportunity:

As an Acquisition Manager, your primary goal is to enhance Agoda's supply network's coverage and quality. Together with your team, you manage a set of high-growth supply partners and support partnership-related activities on a large scale.

  • Pitch, secure, and cultivate new hotel partnerships to broaden our portfolio and market presence.
  • Effectively communicate Agoda's value proposition and partnership benefits to hotel owners and management.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations highlighting the advantages of our services.
  • Negotiate with potential hotel partners to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Optimize Agoda's accommodation availability, content competitiveness, and business growth for existing hotel partners based on data.
  • Research and resolve rate, availability, and support-related issues hindering hotels from maximizing booking performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams like operations to ensure successful onboarding of new hotel partners.
  • Formulate project ideas, identify opportunities, and implement new approaches in a data-driven setting.
  • Apply innovative thinking to develop and deploy solutions to unique challenges.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • At least 2 years' experience in business development or execution roles.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills.
  • Desired analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of using data to drive achievements and decisions.
  • Intellectual curiosity.
  • Self-sufficient and results-oriented, with a history of meeting ambitious targets.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a competitive, rapidly changing industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging in a minimum of 10 meaningful partner conversations per day.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment and embrace changes in responsibilities and workflows as required by the business.
  • Aptitude for supporting the Australian market and adhering to Australian business hours and public holidays.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
