We are currently recruiting a Finance Manager for a hospitality company. This companies vision is to create, curate and manage world class hospitality and lifestyle businesses within Australia and offshore. This role is broad and dynamic where you will lead financial reporting and provide commercial support to business partners and assist with project accounting. Do you have a CA or CPA qualification? Your tasks and responsibilities

The Finance Manager is the lead finance team role across payments, management reporting and project finance requirements. The role is broad and dynamic where you will lead financial reporting and provide commercial support at an entity level and assist with project accounting. This is a key role with stakeholder management and communication key skills. You will execute and manage the systems and processes and identify and report continuous improvement initiatives in relation to entities accounting processes and systems.

Reporting

  • Prepare all management reports including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Forecasts.
  • Analyse results against KPIs and report to CEO.
  • Prepare weekly KPI reports and assist the Senior Leadership Team with analysis of results.
  • Liaise with CEO on performance verses budgets / forecasts and exception reporting.
  • Highlight variances to plan and budget in advance and table solutions to the CEO.
  • Ensure transparency, accuracy, and timely reporting.
  • Assist with year-end audit processes as required.

Finance

  • Oversight of the accounts payable function ensuring invoices are processed correctly.
  • Oversight and accountability within NetSuite.
  • Maintain General ledger for each entity in Netsuite including journals.
  • With the CEO, prepare, gain acceptance, and implement annual budgets.
  • Manage Insurance Policies and WorkCover with CEO.
  • Suggest and seek to influence better ways to manage expenses at every level providing support to the CEO in this pursuit.

Growth & Opportunities & Innovation

  • Along with the SLT, develop business cases for new concepts, brands, and properties.
  • Assist Senior Leadership Team to devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide and implement process improvements to maximise output and minimise costs.

People & Culture

  • Lead and develop the Junior Accountant and provide functional guidance and support.
  • Actively encourage teamwork, through providing effective leadership and communication.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement by challenging existing ways of doing business and investigating.
  • Embody, model and influence the company culture, values, and behaviours.
  • Maintain integrity – set and maintain world class standards.

Your profile and experience

  • Degree qualifications in finance or business accounting or an equivalent discipline.
  • Post graduate qualifications CA or CPA.
  • Experience in similar roles in a hospitality/retail company or Group.
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel software skills.
  • Experience using Netsuite is an advantage.
  • Experience in developing budgets and business plans.
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes.
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software.
