This opportunity is a Full-Time casual position and will be based out of the Brisbane City Council - Carina Bus Depot, becoming responsible for the maintenance and repair of Brisbane City Council fleet. You can be expected to:

Diagnosing faults and repair needsInstalling, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring and computer-based equipmentTesting, replacing, reconditioning and installing alternators, starter motors and batteriesMaintenance of ignitions, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switchesTraining and supervision of apprentices and trade assistants Key Benefits An opportunity to join the largest Council organisation in AustraliaAn opportunity to utilise your trade on a large fleet of heavy vehicles in order to learn and gain in-demand industrial standard skills Key Requirements It is essential that you have experience as an auto electrician, preferably within a fleet management role or working with a variety of vehicles. Australian Trade Qualified Auto Electrician (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology) or equivalent 'C' class driver's licenceBus, Truck or Trailer experience desirableMechanical knowledge including mechanic-electrical systems, and their diverse components is beneficial.
