Duties:

  • Supporting the Executive Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Preparing menus as required
  • Efficiently producing food for guests while maintaining high standards of hygiene
  • Ensuring food is prepared and presented according to recipes and specifications
  • Proper usage of equipment, tools, and machinery
  • Assisting with inventory management and HACCP protocols
  • Collaborating closely with the Stewarding department and kitchen staff
  • Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor towards colleagues, supervisors, and guests

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a Commercial Cookery Cert IV or higher
  • Full Australian work rights with flexible availability
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role (preference for a background in hotels)
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Demonstrates confident leadership qualities
  • Familiar with HACCP regulations
  • Reliable, adaptable, and thrives under pressure
  • Strong in time management and organizational skills
  • Able to work in high-temperature environments and stand for extended periods
  • Current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
