Our client is seeking a dedicated and professional Executive Assistant to provide high-level, confidential executive secretarial and administrative support. This role is integral to the smooth operation of a department that plays a crucial role in supporting the community's safety and wellbeing. This role offers the chance to contribute significantly to the delivery of essential services across the state.

What you'll do:


• Provide a high standard of confidential secretarial and administrative support to a senior executive

• Coordinate, review and quality check all correspondence including reports, letters, ministerial and briefing notes

• Utilise departmental systems/databases to record, update and report on business activities

• Communicate and liaise with staff, clients and key internal and external stakeholders on a wide range of issues affecting the directorate

• Organise and coordinate meetings, workshops, conferences, travel including relevant supporting documentation

• Provide secretariat support as required to meetings and committees by preparing agendas, recording and circulation of minutes

• Provide procedural advice and administrative support to business processes across the directorate

• Ensure office equipment, resources and supplies are efficiently and effectively maintained

What you bring:


• Proven experience in providing administrative support in a similar public sector environment

• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with senior staff, clients and key stakeholders

• Ability to coordinate, review and quality check all correspondence including reports, letters, ministerial and briefing notes

• Experience in utilising departmental systems/databases for recording, updating and reporting on business activities

• Capability to organise meetings, workshops, conferences including relevant supporting documentation

• Experience in providing secretariat support including preparing agendas, recording minutes etc.

• Knowledge of office equipment maintenance and resource management

• Experience or knowledge of the HR industry beneficial
