We have partnered with a dynamic and rapidly developing gold producer committed to sustainable mining practices and responsible resource development. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Open Pit Mine Geologist to join their dynamic team currently in place. You will play a crucial role in the planning, development, and optimisation of their open pit mining operations, focusing on geological mapping, resource modeling, and ore grade control.

The Role

Provide geological guidance and support during drill and blast operations to ensure optimal fragmentation and ore recovery.Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and interpretation to support mine planning and production activities.Collaborate with mine engineering and operations teams to develop short and long term mine plans that maximise ore recovery and minimize dilution.Monitor ore grade control processes and implement strategies to maintain grade quality and optimize mill feed.Conduct regular geological audits and reviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in mining practices.Mentor and provide guidance to junior Geologists and technicians. For consideration we require; Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in open pit mining, with a focus on Au deposits.Strong understanding of geological modeling software (e.g., Surpac, Vulcan etc). Experience with grade control, ore reconciliation, and resource estimation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.Demonstrated leadership abilities and a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced operational environment.Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical conduct.
