We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our club as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Harvey Norman Women's Premiership team. In this key role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive strength and conditioning programs to optimise athletic performance, monitor and manage player injuries, and provide regular player assessment to the Head Coach.

Responsibilities:

Provide professional, innovative, and thorough coaching to players at the HNWP level at the Wentworthville Magpies District Rugby League Football Club by:

Implementation of the strength and conditioning programs, both pre-season and in-season, in accordance with the NRL philosophies. Provide specific assistance with the preparation of players for training sessions and games. Assist in providing regular player assessment to the HNWP Head Coach including the analysis of physical performance testing data in order to make informed decisions on player selection, retention and/or recruitment. Organise, plan and run training sessions in the absence of the Head Coach and or at the Head Coach's direction. Develop and maintain a comprehensive medical register to be used to track player wellbeing and injuries in conjunction with the club doctor and physiotherapist during the season. Assessment and treatment of injuries combined with referral process to the club doctor or physiotherapist. Assist with completion of players testing protocols. Assist with strapping and taping of players prior to training sessions and games. Attend all training sessions, Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening and weekend game days. Liaise with the physiotherapist with reference to player injuries and training requirements. Assist with the physical preparation of players not selected and/or returning from injury. This is to be done with the input from the coaching staff. Assist with the game day warm up as outlined by the coaching staff. Prepare a comprehensive post - game register to be used to track player wellbeing and injuries in conjunction with the club doctor and physiotherapist. Maintain positive relationships with the staff and players under your direction to achieve optimal results. Provide quality feedback to players regarding their development. Maintain and extend coaching qualifications where possible. Liaise with team manager regarding any team/player enquiries.
