Clarke McEwan Accountants is a well-established accounting firm (est 1995) located at Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast. Our waterfront offices are centrally located on the Cotton Tree Esplanade, close to parks, cafes, Sunshine Plaza and the new Maroochydore town centre.

Our firm specializes in working with well-established businesses and professional clients such as doctors, medical centres and allied health professionals.

We have a new position available for a part-time or full-time tax accountant to become part of our growing team. The position can be flexible based on your circumstances.

The successful applicant will have an accounting degree and 4 years plus experience working in an accounting practice undertaking accounting and taxation work for all entity types through to completion.

Experience with the Access Handisoft suite, BGL360, office365, Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Xero and Myob will be highly regarded. Experience with BGL360 or similar software and Self-Managed Superfund Accounting and Tax Work is required. We will also provide support and training in this area if you have limited smsf experience but are happy to put in the work to learn and become proficient in this area.

Our Firm holds a Financial Advisors License and we are resourced and licensed to setup smsf's and provide ongoing strategy and investment advice to our clients.

The role will also involve assisting the Principal with technical research and helping clients with ongoing business, tax and super advice as required. You will work as part of a small and very experienced team of accountants and have access to an online specialist support desk for technical research and backup file support for client advice. This is a hands-on role. You will receive ongoing training and development support to keep up to date with your technical skills and professional development.

Whilst the position is available for an immediate start we are prepared to wait for the right candidate should you need to finish up a position elsewhere and provide the required notice.
