St Lawrence of Brindisi is one of Melbourne's newest Catholic primary schools, opening in January 2022. We are located in Weir Views, between Melton and Caroline Springs, just 40 minutes from Melbourne's CBD and 5 minutes from the Western Freeway. Our school is in Australia's biggest and most dynamic growth corridor and has grown quickly since it opened.

NatalieSkylahOur school population continues to increase rapidly and we are currently one of the fastest growing Catholic schools in Victoria. We are seeking applications from dynamic, enthusiastic educators for a classroom teacher position. This is a fixed-term position for Semester Two 2024, starting on or close to July 15, 2024 and concluding on January 27, 2025, with the possibility of a contract extension for 2025.
Applicants will demonstrate the capacity to develop nurturing relationships with children and professional relationships with colleagues and parents. They must be open to professional growth and learning and have the capacity to provide targeted, engaging learning opportunities for children.
All applicants must hold the relevant teaching qualifications to obtain a Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration. Experience in teaching in a Catholic educational environment would be considered an advantage.
This is a fixed-time position. Overseas applicants must have at least two years of full-time teaching experience. Given the Australian Commonwealth Government's strict visa requirements, preference will be made to applicants from specific countries to ensure that these visa requirements can be met. Our governing authority, Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools, is registered with the Australian Commonwealth Government to support visa applications from suitable overseas applicants. Please note that supporting the visa applications of overseas applicants has a significant cost to our school. We cannot financially support relocation and travel costs or the visa applications of spouses and dependents.Key Selection Criteria
