The Residential and Commercial team is the driving force behind our flagship site, . When you join the ResComm team, you join a cross-functional group of folk representing product, IT, sales and marketing, supported by PR, communications, HR, finance, legal – all the people you need to create products our consumers love and customers value. With being the number one destination for people interested in property in Australia, as you can imagine - the group of legends working on our little red house are very passionate about what they do.

What the role is all about

The Account Consultant supports the Residential Sales team in the following ways:

  • Be the primary contact for a territory of customers serviced primarily by phone and video conferencing for both proactive and reactive sales
  • Responding to consumer enquiries – via phone and email - in a professional and timely manner
  • Identify and close new opportunities in SPOT and protect existing customer relationships to achieve product and customer sentiment targets
  • Focus on product targets within defined territory, by managing retention and selling solutions not products to customers and by monitoring customer usage
  • Responding to consumer enquiries – via phone, email and fax - in a professional and timely manner
  • Participate in gap fill initiatives to ensure target achievement
  • Minimise customer downgrades and cancellations (office closures excluded)
  • Identify sales opportunities for other REA services, e.g. Media, Developer, Commercial etc and engage specialist sales resources as required to achieve the revenue targets
  • Create dependence of agencies and agents on the services and training that REA provides
  • Develop a systematic approach to the ongoing education and training of customers remotely
  • Encourage participation in Advantage where appropriate
  • Actively promote the use of REA services, tools and resources across the territory customer base
  • Ensure that the quality of property listings meets the Acceptable Use Policy
  • Ensure relevant performance data, analysis, reporting and leads is delivered to customers in a timely and convenient manner
  • Ensure reporting and tracking of leads to customers
  • via phone and email, with the ability to build relationships with customers remotely

Who we're looking for

  • Someone with a few runs on the board - Proven sales experience and evidence of achieving sales targets essential
  • Knowledge of property and marketing methods helpful
  • Advertising and online experience highly desirable
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Previous use of CRM systems
  • Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
  • Work productively in a fast paced and agile environment - #gsd (urban dictionary will help on this one)
