What's the job? As Stewarding Team leader, you'll supervise the day-to-day stewarding operations within the Staff Village. You will co-ordinate the activities of all stewards and perform stewarding tasks to ensure an efficient, profitable and smooth departmental operation.

Your day-to-day

  • Motivate all stewarding staff to perform their duties by demonstrating professionalism, organisational ability and sound leadership skills.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to grooming and presentation standards.
  • Ensure effective communication with all other food and beverage departments to assist smooth and efficient delivery of service.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day storage and safe handling of all equipment and chemicals.
  • Supervise the stewards in performing stewarding tasks
  • Perform stewarding tasks as needed: to include cleaning the kitchen and rubbish disposal
  • Ensure stewards are following cleaning schedules for kitchen, food and beverage, back of house areas and equipment.
  • Ensure machines, furniture (fridges, benches, etc), equipment and utensils are cleaned and in working condition at all times. Check all areas in regard to sanitation and hygiene to prevent contamination of any kind.
  • Assist the culinary team.
