Technical Trainer

Twin Disc began operations in 1918 and has grown to be a diversified global organisation providing high quality products in specialised industries. In Australia Twin Disc distributes products for the marine industry; and heavy power transmission equipment for a wide range of applications. This role will lead the technical, service and installation training, compliance and record-keeping for the Seakeeper range of gyroscopic stabilisers and Ride products for the Marine segment.

This crucial role reports to the Product Manager and plays an integral role in implementing a range of programs and processes regionally for the business. You will work closely with engineers, dealers and OEM clients to understand business imperatives and provide adult learning and development programs to ensure sound knowledge of the products, their applications and maintenance.

Responsibilities will include:

Review and refine existing content in conjunction with product suppliers.Prepare and manage training programs across the Seakeeper range of products.Deliver training programs in a positive and engaging manner.Utilise your technical training experience to schedule and deliver comprehensive, short, technical courses.Customise the Corporate provided training material to meet the needs of the Asia Pacific business.Ensure completed training is documented and training records are completed and maintained in accordance with the Quality Assurance training procedure.Work with the management team to schedule and deliver training to OEMs and individual customers.Provide information and support to the dealer network as required on the Seakeeper product range.Ensure the highest levels of customer service are maintained at all timesAdvocate and ensure strict adherence to best in class Health and Safety and be a true ambassador for the brand and business. This position is based in the Eagle Farm Head Office and will suit an individual looking to immerse themselves in the culture and growth of the business. You will be trade qualified, ideally in an electrical field; and will hold a Cert IV in Training and Development, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Having strong communication skills and experience in project management, you will influence outcomes and ensure the success of this newly created position.
