Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the skilled and qualified Plant Mechanic or HD Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for assisting with the busy workload to meet the required deadlines and schedules. As a Plant Mechanic or HD Automotive Mechanic you will work on Caterpillar heavy earthmoving equipment or On-Highway Trucks, performing a variety of tasks. These can include dis-assembly and reassembly of components & Engines, Troubleshooting and Repairs, general maintenance and customer requests. Ensuring optimum safety and efficiency throughout the entire build.

Location: Perth Airport - Component Repair Workshop & On-Highway Trucks

Rosters: Two roster options 5/2 (Monday to Friday) - 10 hours each day or 8/6 - 12 hours each day

To be successful the following is required:
  • Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle or Mobile Plant Trade Certificate
  • Previous experience working on Components or On Highway trucks
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
  • Be well aligned with and exhibit WesTrac's core values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer
